Set Me Free

I'll be the first to admit that I've never really been a fan of Free People. Trendy boho floral let's smoke pot and dance with flowers in our hair hippy chic? No thanks.

Well, recently, I've had a change of heart. I don't quite know what it is - maybe my sense of style is maturing. Or maybe it's because I've been so exposed to pop-culture-style that brainwashing is a feasible answer.

Or maybe it's because they've roughened up their image to be more grunge-hippy-fuck-yeah-fuck-everything instead of the initial hippy description I listed above.

Meanwhile, check out the things I want but can't afford until I graduate and make billions of dollars being a paleontologist or meteorologist or gynosaur. Future career options are still up for debate.

Oh, and the shoes and shorts above. Actually, the shorts are very reasonably priced. Hmm. Now if I can just dig up a Visa giftcard somewhere...

The Beginning

I've never done a fashion blog before. Or any type of blog, for that matter. Maybe it's because I keep on telling myself that I'm too busy.  Maybe it's because I'm ashamed of people finding out about my interest in fashion. Or maybe it's because I'm afraid that my self expression will be virulently judged by anonymous figures who happen upon this blog via some unknown resource or fortuitous circumstance.

But none of that really matters.

I'm currently propelling through my senior year in high school, and I figured it's about time that I found some outlet for these creative desires swirling within me.

Fashion blog, lifestyle blog, inconsistent blog that really merits no categorization, here I come.

Readers (if you're out there), please be kind (or at least not antagonistic). Please? Or else I'll cry.
